Leontios Toumpouris is a visual artist currently based in Glasgow. In 2016 he graduated from Glasgow School of Art’s MLitt Sculpture. He exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions and participated in residencies and workshops in Europe. Recent solo exhibitions include ‘Of Particular Images‘, Intermedia gallery, CCA, Glasgow (2019) accompanied by three parallel events; ‘Phyle’ at Custom Lane, Edinburgh, curated by Eoin Dara and ‘Suggestions and Encounters: Physical or Otherwise’ (2018), at The Telfer Gallery, Glasgow, curated by Seán Elder (2018). He has exhibited in group exhibitions including ‘Phase 2’, Drive Drive, Nicosia, CY (2018) and ‘Home Of Multiple Occupancy’, Transmission Gallery, Glasgow, UK (2018). Toumpouris has been awarded grants by the Eaton Fund (2018), the Cultural Services of Cyprus’ Ministry of Education and Culture (2017), The Hope Scott Trust (2017) and AG Leventis Foundation (2015) amongst others.
